I’m Camara Mackey, a Chicago native, athlete, entrepreneur, and the heart behind Tropical Secrets LLC.

My story isn’t just about products—it’s about growth, grit, and thriving as your most authentic self. Growing up in the bustling energy of Chicago, I discovered two core truths early on: I love to move—and I love to create.

That drive led me all the way to Northwood University, where I didn’t just hit the books—I hit the track. Balancing sprints with strategy, I thrived as a student-athlete, excelling in both business and marketing while clocking hours in training and competition. Not only a student athelete, but an entreprenuer at heart I competed in 3 pitch competions to help launch and grow Tropical Secrets as you know it today! That chapter taught me discipline, confidence, and the power of perseverance. On the track, I proved I could match speed with strategy. In the classroom, I matched smarts with ambition. And deep down, I knew I wanted to build something that reflected my story, my culture, and my creativity.

Enter Tropical Secrets LLC—a brand born from my roots and built with intention. I created this line of natural haircare products for people like me: those who value authenticity, love their natural selves, and believe in the magic of what grows naturally. Every product is made with love, every detail matters, and every secret ingredient has a purpose.
